Allora oggi . . . let’s talk about the Abruzzo region, Loreto Aprutino to be exact.  Loreto Aprutino is about 20 kilometers from the Adriatic coast of Italy surrounded by olive orchards for as far as the eye can see.  Following the frenzy, heat, and masses of tourist in Firenze L.A. is a welcomed reprieve.  After eight hours of driving for a trip that should have taken no more than six including a lunch break we arrived and I was ready for a break from the Italian drivers including the one I was seated next to.  An ESFJ driver with an ENTP navigator is not a good combination in the car under the best of circumstances.  Throw in an unfamiliar country, foreign language, foreign road signs, AND roundabouts – arguing is sure to ensue.

However, after a good night’s sleep, time on the beach, swimming in the wonderfully warm water of the Adriatic and a spectacular dinner all the driving drama is forgotten and we are ready to hit the road again.  Restate sintonizzati . . .
